RSMB appointed to undertake audit of HR Media, Mexico
February 27, 2025

The Alliance for Quality Multimedia Measurement - or La Alianza para la Calidad de la Medición Multimedia - (ACAM) has appointed RSMB, in partnership with 3M3A, to undertake a comprehensive technical audit of the HR Media service in Mexico.

ACAM is the newly formed Mexican Joint Industry Committee for high-quality video measurement. ACAM appointed HR Media (HRM) as the official provider of audience measurement in late 2024 replacing the long-standing incumbent Nielsen.

RSMB will be responsible for carrying out a methodological audit of the statistical, recruitment and data production processes, in order to ensure that HRM’s audience measurement complies with the operational and quality criteria defined by ACAM. 3M3A will undertake panel home visits to validate in-field processes and validate data capture from the metering technology.

Commenting on the appointment of RSMB, Douglas Darfield, CEO of ACAM said.

“ACAM, the first Joint Industry Committee measurement service in Latin America, is incredibly excited  to be able to bring the experience and deep understanding of what is needed to produce audience estimates of the highest quality possessed by RSMB to Mexico to ensure that the inaugural audit of the rating service operated for ACAM by HR Media will be thorough, informative and transparent.”

RSMB Commercial Director, Ross Wightman, added

“RSMB is honoured to be entrusted by ACAM with this important audit of the HR Media measurement service. With over 35 years of experience supporting Barb, the UK’s trusted source of television audience measurement, we will apply our expertise to ensure a rigorous and transparent review. This appointment represents a major step forward in upholding high standards for Mexico’s television ratings, fostering industry confidence. We look forward to working closely with ACAM, HR Media, and our fieldwork partners, 3M3A, to support the development of a measurement system that meets the highest international benchmarks.”
